Who didn’t know KFC aka Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yes, it’s the second largest restaurant-chain in the world (wikipedia). Since the outbreak of corona, I haven’t buy KFC from March 2020, and yesterday my brother buy some dinner so I ask him to buy for me too. Actually, I want crispy skin and cream soup but the crispy skin is not available anymore so he bought me Chrispy Winger.
This is not my dinner, but my snack after dinner. Since start to running again, I’m losing 2kg of my weight and I’m starting to hungry anytime.
Winger has 4pcs, consists of 2pcs of wing. Different country has different kind of package and taste. The cream soup taste sweet, and I like to dip the chicken skin into soup and eat it together.
Today, I went to Supermarket and my mom found this snack.
Maybe you have ever seen this snack. This snack also reminder me of my childhood. It is a cookies that smeared with sugar on the side and now there’s so many varian. There’s cheese, pizza, coffee, etc.
The one in the picture is from Magelang, Central Java – Indonesia, it has cheese flavoue but still there’s sugar in the side, so it has combine taste between sweet and salty cheese. So delicious. And this snack size is good enough to eat it in one mouthful. Because it’s too crispy, so if you bite it little by little, there will be cookies flakes fall from the cookies.
The famous Bagelen is in Bandung, West Java – Indonesia. Each time I went to Bandung, I will go to this famous bread store and by their Bagelen. They have various taste.
Because Pandemic Corona, we must spend most of our time at home. And for someone that rarely cook, will try looking for some recipe to cook.
When I went to Supermarker, I always see this Beef Slice. And this time, I decided to buy it.
The beef meat name is Short Plate Beef.
Under the rib cut, the short plate has the lower short ribs, also called agujas cortas. Short Plate Beef is a forequarter cut from the belly of the cow, just below the rib cut. It is typically a cheap, tough, and fatty meat. In U.K. butchery, this cut is considered part of the brisket.
This is my 2nd trial making this cute and yummy Fluffy Puff Pancake. And still the shape is not too good but it’s getting delicious and better.
What you need?
1 pcs egg (separate the white and yellow)
A little Vanilli Paste
How to make?
Whisk yellow egg, flour, vanilli paste, milk and salt together until it mix well.
Mixer the white egg for about 3 minutes with high speed, and every 30 minutes put the 1/3 sugar inside while the mixer on.
Mix the Batter together, mix well.
Prepare the frying pan, put a little butter, spread well. Use small fire. Then use bowl spoon / ice cream scoop spoon, take the batter and put it on the frying pan. Do it for about 2-3 times (depend on your batter).
My batter still not stiff enough (still a little moist) so when I put the batter, it spread on the frying pan. So I give about 4 spoon batter for one pancake. Don’t put it together, but see if the first one already 1/3 cooked.
Do it for the rest batter.
For topping, you can add anything. This time I’m using Silverqueen, chocolate bar (melt it on the stove and give a little water).
Tadaa.. This is my breakfast today.
If you succeed to make it thick (about 2-3cm height) then you succeed make Fluffy Puff Pancake.
Today is wednesday. Usually, at Wednesday I will eat Indomie for breakfast (but not every week, by mood only). And today, I’m crafting some Noodle Pizza.
This noodle pizza is made from Fried Indomie + eggs.
Indomie, an Indonesian brand of instant noodle. And when I’m in university, my friend taught me how to make this food.
It’s very easy.
What you need?
Indomie Noodle Instant, fried one
2pcs of egg
How to make?
First, you cook the instant noodle until it’s soft enough. Then while cooking the noodle, crack the 2 eggs insids a bowl and mix it with Indomie Noodle Instant spice (powder, sweet soy sauce and the oil).
After the noodle is soft enough, drain well and put the noodle inside mixed egg. Mixed it together. Mix well.
Prepare the frying pan with oil. My suggestion, put a little too much oil. After the oil is hot enough, then put the noodle + egg into frying pan, and spread it so it looks like pizza (big round). And cook it just like you cook fried egg.
Fry it well according to your taste. I like it more crispy and a little dark in the outside. After done, put it on the plate and enjoy.
Because of the Pandemic Covid-19, we have to physical distancing, and less go out. So, I try to practise my video editor, then next time I can make vlog when travelling.
The most simple to cook something in this world is, making Instant Noodle.
Indomie is one of famous instant noodle brand in Indonesia and many people like this. They have the original taste of Indonesia. I like the taste of Fried Noodle Indomie, sometimes when I missed it, I will cooking instant noodle.
You just need to boil the noodle, until it’s soft, drain well. Put the seasoning on the plate, then mix it together with the noodle.
This is an dessert from Walls (famous ice cream brand in Indonesia) and once famous at 90th (when I’m younger). This ice cream is very expensive that time. It’s unique because it is like tart cake.
This year, Walls re-make this ice cream and once it came out for sale, many people buy it already. It’s a little different from before, now it has only 1 layer but it’s longer. It still has it’s signature, chocolate and still taste so good.
In my city, you can buy it for IDR 49.500/box (around USD$3,3)
Don’t forget to put it on freezer once you buy it because this ice cream is very easy to melt. You have to freeze it at least 24 hours.
