There’s no undelicious Food in this world

Every people come from many countries, many culture and many taste. Sometimes, each of them has different kind of taste liking because what they usually eat in their hometown.

And for traveller, sometimes when we come to new country, we can’t adapt local food well and we accidentally said thay the food is not delicious.

Can you imagine, people who always eat sweet taste then suddenly come to a place with salty taste specially, sometimes they can’t adapt well. Especially elderly who lives in one place many years.

This is my opinion, there’s no undelicious food in this world. When people sell food, it means they will have special taste so that the food is eatable. Even tough sometimes the taste is crazy, but it still eatableand this is their speciality.

I have been in South East Asian and East Asian country most. Even tough I went to same Asian countries, but sometimes, you will have to eat same kind of food with different taste. At first, I will only choose kind of food that suitable my taste. But the longer I become traveller, I can’t avoid to eat some food that not my liking. After some time, it become a usual to me. You can’t eat your hometown soup in some small city in South Korea, you can’t eat same fried rice in Thailand. So you have to adapt it. Not in your liking doesn’t means it is not delicious.

Even in the same country, we can have different taste of food. When I went to east Indonesia, some of their speciality food has different taste with Java Island. At first, I will feel strange with the taste, but actually it’s delicious. If not, why the local sell it and why many people eat there?

So, when you eat something that isn’t your taste, you can say “this is your first time to eat this kind of taste so you are not very fond of it”. And try to think the food taste instead think other food taste, then you can feel the speciality of the food. (For example, when you eat fried rice, don’t think fried chicken).

If you are able to do it, then you could travel comfortably.. Eventough not all the food you think it’s edible, but for some people, it’s edible and even become favourite.

1st raw abalone that I try and I think no more 2nd 3rd etc..

September 02, 2020

Today hash route is near Silancur Highland. Located at Dadapan, Mangli, Kaliangkrik, Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. From Magelang City, you can go to Bandongan direction, just go straight, and arrive at Market, turn left to Mangli Direction. Because it is located at Mount Sumbing Slope, so the road to go there is uphill and sometimes there’s sharp turn.

With altitude about 1300m above sea level, this place has beautiful scenery. No matter you come here in the morning, or in the evening, each scene has its unique.

This time, our hash route has short and long, and I follow the long route, which trekking nearby hills from car parking to Silancur Highland (the short one, walk along the big road from car parking to Silancur Highland).

We didn’t enter the Silancur Highland because there’s people in there. We still have to social distancing, even we each other has 1m distancing each and always wear our mask. (I only with my 2 friends).

90th Birthday

August 30, 2020

Every year, we are celebrating our birthday. One year, one time. And sometimes, when you passed someone’s birthday, you will think, there’s another one next year.

Do you know, each age only comes once in a year. You won’t celebrate 17th birthday twice. So, each birthday is very meaningful. Especially when you don’t know if you still able to celebrate next year’s birthday. People’s life is unpredictable.

So, when my grandfather (mother’s father) celebrate his 90th Birthday, it’s really really special. Not many people could life until 90th. During this pandemic covid, it’s hard to celebrate with whole family because we all stay in different city. And we are very concern to grandfather’s health, so only my family going to celebrate. For others, we use video call. My grandfather got mild stroke before so now he can’t walk and only sit in the wheelchair. But his mind and everything is still good, he still follow news and now what happens today. It’s just that nowadays, we think his speaking is start to unclear.

Mount Merapi illuminated by the Sunrise, Magelang Regency # Central Java – Indonesia

August 26, 2020

Today we are hashing near Kedung Kayang Waterfall. Because I have a plan to trekking in Mountain on September, so today I decided to join long trek.

We won’t visit the Kedung Kayang Waterfall, instead walk another path.

Kedung Kayang waterfall located in Wonolelo, from Magelang go to Blabak, and turn left to Ketep Pass direction. But, don’t turn left to Ketep Pass, instead turn right to Boyolali direction.

The hash route for long is not too hard this time. First you follow the good path, and in there, we see a beautiful scene: Mount Merapi illuminated with sunrise, while Mount Merbabu didn’t, so it looks like the sun splitting Mount Merapi into 2 color.

After walk quiet far, we turn left and meet the small and steep path. We go down to valley, and then going up, the path is very small and you have to becareful because the soil is wet.

Nothing extreem path in here, and we took 5,22km.

It’s nice to be able to trekking in the mountain with beautiful view.

Curug Delimas, Windusari, Magelang # Central Java – Indonesia

August 19, 2020

Delimas is a attraction place near Girimulyo Village, Windusari District, Magelang Regency. Located at Mount Sumbing Slope, this place has altitude approximately 1200 above sea level.

From the car parking, to go to the waterfall, you need to walk about 15-30 minutes (based on your stamina). The path to go to waterfall is going down, so sometimes when it’s raining season, it could be slippery. But the scenery is very beautiful.

Near the car parking, the local made a selfie place. So, if you think it’s hard to go to the waterfall area, you can take selfie in this place.

We come in the morning around 06:00, the sky is very clear and the sun is shine brightly. But when we are going home, foggie replace the blue sky, so we can’t see anything.

Svargabumi Borobudur Magelang # Central Java – Indonesia

August 15, 2020

There’s a new selfie place near Borobudur Temple, it’s called Svargabumi. This place is unique, because it’s located in the middle of rice fields.

I heard that there’s a cooperation between the investor and the farmer, and it’s beneficial.

Nowadays, many people like to selfie and update in social media. So I think, this place is a must visit place when you come to Central Java / Yogyakarta.

With ticket entrance fee IDR 25.000 for adult, you can take many selfies. The staff in there can help you to take picture too and they know the good angle to take photos.

This place has large car parking.

From Magelang City, go to Borobudur Temple direction. And once you come to threesection near Borobudur Temple Entrance, turn left. Then the first intersection, turn right. This place located before Balkondes Borobudur. Go in from the large field. Usually, there’s staff that are in the front.

As usual, because it’s a new habit, so the staff check our temperature and we have to wash our hands. Don’t forget to wear mask when you are near other people and always keep the distance. That’s why, we decided to visit this place on Saturday Morning, because they are open at 06:30 on weekend. And there’s no people in there at that time.

I have a new hobby, actually, I wants to do this hobby quiet a long time ago. But each time I have plan, and the plan is always only a plan. Sometimes, I even forgot if I have plan of vlogging. hehe…

Actually, I want to really doing it when my trip to New Zealand this October, I even bought some action camera. But because the current situation, I have to postponed the trip.

And now, I decided to make it happened.

VLog / Blog Video,  is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television. Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. Vlog category is popular on the video-sharing platform YouTube.

In recent years, “vlogging” has spawned a large community on social media, becoming one of the most popular forms of digital entertainment. It is popularly believed that, alongside being entertaining, vlogs can deliver deep context through imagery as opposed to written blogs.

Video logs (vlogs) also often take advantage of web syndication to allow for the distribution of video over the Internet using either the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for automatic aggregation and playback on mobile devices and personal computers.

Actually, it seems like we are making a serial drama / tv series / reality show, but the content is about reportng, just like news. And for me, that not good in history and reporting, it’s a hard things to do.

It’s really different with blogging, because in blogging, we are writing, and we check the article before publish.

But in vlogging, you need to know what to say, and the plot, and not make any mistake while reporting.

I know that each people has different skill, maybe for some people, they are born naturally for reporting something and speaking. But, I think this won’t make me not doing this new hobby. So I try to make some script for what’s the point that I want to say, and shooting some action that suitable with the vlog. And editing it, to make it looks like a story. Usually, I only make some VClip without me reporting. But this time, I really want to make video blog, and I’m doing it because I really want to do it, not because of I need traffic.

So far, I enjoy the process, and I think I will always continue this until I don’t know when. Is there anyone who maybe share something about how to vlogging? I would like to appreciate it. Here’s some of my vlog video, this is my first one and 2nd one (Indonesian language).

1st vlog
2nd vlog

And will be there more.. I know it’s not perfect, but I’m learning. And believe that practise makes perfect.. A dancer, will always practise his/her dance, so is a singer.

Tteokbokki (2)

And taste more sour. But I’m using melt cheese and it’s really melt, very delicious.

I think it’s better than the first try.

PJJP :: Mount Telomoyo Magelang Regency / Semarang Regency # Central Java – Indonesia

July 12, 2020

Today’s PJJP / morning walk is in Mount Telomoyo. Some of us didn’t hike until the peak, and some of us hike until the peak. And I’m here, I only hike about 5km, and because I have some senior with me, and fortunately there’s an empty jeep that going up so we ride the jeep.

Mount Telomoyo is a stratovolcano in Central JavaIndonesia. The volcano was constructed over the southern flank of the eroded Pleistoceneage Soropati volcano, which has a height of 1,300 metres (4,300 ft). The Soropati volcano collapsed during the Pleistocene, leaving a U-shaped depression. Mount Telomoyo grows on the southern side of the depression, reaching over 600 metres (2,000 ft) above the depression’s rim.

We start from Ngablak basecamp Cakrawala Point area. From here, you can go up using motorcycle or rent a jeep. It’s IDR 150.000/one way. You can climb from another route too.

This basecamp is the one bigger because there’s a car park and many people going up using motorcycle. Car park is IDR 5.000/car.

We started to hike and about 1.5 km, we found this stone hill. Very beautiful, and heard that it should has a artificial waterfall. But that time, they turn it off because they are building a dragon statue.

Then we arrive at 1st post. The view is amazing.

2nd Post

The road to the peak is very nice, and didn’t difficult at all.

After about 5km, the jeep is coming.

After a while, we arrive at the peak. The scene from the peak is very beautiful.

In the peak, there’s so many antenna.

You can see many mountain from the Mount Telomoyo’s Peak. I don’t know the precise because some of the sky were covered by cloud.

While waiting for the jeep pick us up, we enjoy the view.

Then after the jeep arrive, we go back to the basecamp because we are afraid if everyone is waiting for us already.

Actually, there are many people riding motorcycle to go up and it’s very crowded. Hopefully, they still pay attention to new normal condition: Physical Distancing and wearing mask.
