Nepal Van Java, dusun Butuh, Kaliangkrik, Magelang Regency # Central Java – Indonesia

August 05, 2020

Butuh Village, is the highest village in Magelang Regency, Central Java. And recently, this village become very famous. People call the village Magelang’s Nepal.

Why Nepal? Actually, I haven’t been in Nepal, so I didn’t know how it looks like. The house building in this village, is built very unique in Mount Sumbing’s slope, from the bottom to uphill, with colorful color, and if we see it from the downhill, it looks like terracing. And with background Mount Sumbing, and blue sky, makes this place very beautiful.

The photospot located at Mount Sumbing basecamp in Kaliangkrik, there’s a photospot in there. And there is also a coffee shop, you can enjoy the beautiful scene with drink coffee. The weather is cold, because you are in 1620 altitude above sea level. Don’t forget to bring jacket when you come here in the morning.

If you want to climb mount Sumbing, this is one of the basecamp that you can take the path.

When the sun is high enough, the fog sometimes come down and hide the scenery.

Dusun Butuh located in Kaliangkrik, Magelang Regency. This place is famous with name Nepal Van Java.

I heard that actually this village is already known before, but nowadays people more openly in selfie and posting it on Social Media, so the influence is bigger than before. That’s why, this place is quiet famous now.

You can walk around the village too, the villagers make some building paint beautifully. But please respect the villagers, keep quiet and polite.

PJJP :: Khayangan Peak Sigendol & Curug Gunung Putri Purworejo # Central Java – Indonesia

July 26, 2020

Today’s PJJP is going to Purworwjo Regency, Bruno Area. From Magelang, we go to Purworejo direction and when arrive at Maron, turn left to Wonosobo direction. The road is on renovation, you have to becareful.

Then about 19km, turn left to Kutoarjo Direction. After passed Bruno Market, you will passed a bridge and face the trisection, turn right. The road is good but very narrow. It will be hard if there is a car from the opposite.

After about 2.5 hours, we arrive at Curug Gunung Putri Car Parking. Then we eat breakfast first. After fill our stomach, we start to hiking.

Our first destination is Khayangan Peak Sigendol, located about 2km uphill from the car parking. Because it’s a peak, so we have to walk uphill and it’s quiet high.

The view upthere is breathtaking.. Very beautiful..

After take some selfie and enjoy the view, we go back to car parking. On the way downhill is very steep, becareful and beware of your knee because we have to hold our body, and for some senior ir’s quiet difficult.

Our 2nd destination:

Curug Gunung Putri, Curug is another name of waterfall in Indonesia. The waterfall is falling in 2 direction, and the water is very fresh.

After play in the water for a while, we go back to car park and prepare to go home.

This time, we didn’t use the road we depart, instead after arrive at Purworejo-Wonosobo Street, we turn left, and when arrive at Sapuran, turn right and follow the road and you will arrive at Salaman, then go back to Magelang. Why we use another route? Because we didn’t want to passed the renovation road again, it’s very narrow and you have to make turn with the opposite to passed.

Finally, I’m able to make Vlog for this morning walk with at least 50% reporting. I always wants to make vlog about where I go but never made it, because sometimes I forgot, and I didn’t have confidence to speak. Maybe next time, I will write a script so I know what to say haha..

Have a nice Watch and Enjoy..

This is my 3rd time visit this place, my father love this place because it’s very quiet with beautiful lake and scenery. Very refreshing, especially when you come at sunset.

We decided to go around the lake using car. It took about 16,95km if you want to go around.

The road is good, altough some part is very narrow only able to occupied for 1 car, but the view each side is amazing. Especially when sunset is coming.

No More Sticker Visa for South Korea Visa

Starting July 01, 2020, South Korea Visa will stop using sticker visa. According KVAC (Korea Visa Application Center) in Jakarta, Indonesia, they will change sticker visa to visa grant notice which can be downloaded on Visa portal website and print it.

For more information, please visit KVAC website

To see the grant notice, use the same method when you check the application status.

The requirement document is the same as before. You can start to apply for single-entry visa 3 months before departure date. But my suggestions is, apply 1.5-2 months before is better. Usually, some people need longer time to approve (usual time is 5 business day).

After you got the notice, print and bring the notice together with your passport. When you arrive at South Korea, the immigration will check both of them.

Usually, people like to collect visa or stamp of other countries. And the more you have them in your passport, the more you like it. But it’s getting lesser and lesser, South Korea without sticker visa and no stamp when you travel in there.

Can I Travelling now?

After stay at home for about 2 – 3 months, I’m sure everyone is missing travelling. Eventough some country has already back to “Normal” but for International border, I think still need more time to back to “Normal”.

Even in my country, we can’t really live “Normally”, we still need to wear mask, physical distancing, bring our own hand sanitizer and always wash our hands, try to not to gathering with many people.

For someone who work in travel agency and like travelling, I’m very curious, can I back to travelling again? Many people ask me about this too.

I’m sure we can, even only inside Indonesia (domestic). But we have to prepare many documents to be able to travelling and also we have to take PCR / Rapid test which we have to extra pay for this. And the test only valid for certain time, which means in the destination trip, we have to take the test too to be able go back home.

How about travelling to outside Indonesia?

Nowadays, many Country has tighten their international border because they are afraid if they got imported case. For some country that already report there’s no any case for the last 2-3 weeks, suddenly appear new case which some of them are imported case. For example: Beijing China and New Zealand.

I heard that Singapore still close their border for short term tourists except China, and Malaysia still close their border too and on discussing to open special case, and one of them for medical tourism.

Malaysia Conference (June 19, 2020)

Do you think it’s worth to travelling now just because you missed them already, and willing to prepare all the documents and procedure? Have you ever thought if when you come back you might bring any virus that endanger you family? Is it really worth it?

Why not wait a little longer until everything is settled? I know that we might live with the virus, but I think all country is looking for a good solution. Tourism is one of each country biggest income and I’m sure they will try to looking for good solution for this.

Yesterday, I read the news that Candidate vaccine has shown to be safe and effective in the first two phase of clinical trial.

Actually, 2-3 months is not a big deal to not travelling, but 2-3 months without going to mall or hangout to cafe is really a big deal. All of my friends has already bored at home and some ot them already come out to gathering. Of course, we choose our friends who we wants to hangout.

So far, I only went to supermarket to buy daily needs and 1 times went to mall to buy dinner. My city itself, has already no-additional case for a while. But outside there, there’s so many new case. And I think we still have to shield ourselves. Especially when I live with my parents, so I have to be extra careful. And even their immunity is good, but they are already senior. Even me as an adult, didn’t know how is my own conditions. We feel healthy, but we really don’t know

Let’s prepare ourselves to welcoming the new life, new normal, and new habit where we go everywhere using mask, physical distancing and always clean our hands. So when the time arrive, we are able to adapt easily.

Stay healthy and happy blogging… Let’s hope we can easily travelling soon..

Social distancing will be observed with floor markers at queuing areas, including check-in counters & kiosks. And another safety precaution will be alternate check-in counters to ensure sufficient distance, and we are also working to have contactless check-in processes as well.

  • Web or mobile check-in and early arrival at the airport

Web or mobile check-in to reduce surface and physical contact in check-in and boarding processes. In addition, please arrive early at the airport – preferably 5 hours before departure – to allow for enough time for all the necessary processes to take place. Check-in kiosks and manual check in counters are still available.

  • Cabin baggage policy

We also have a new cabin baggage policy to facilitate social distancing especially during embarkation and disembarkation. You are allowed to bring onboard only one piece of carry-on bag that does not exceed 40cm (Height) x 30cm (Width) x 10cm (Length), such as laptop bag and hand bag, not exceeding 7 kg for each guest. More details are available here.

Luggage with more than the permitted cabin baggage limits must be checked in. This will help minimise unwanted contact between you and another guest’s baggage and vice versa. AirAsia provides free baggage allowance for domestic flights up to 15kg per passenger.

  • Pre-book your hot meals online

Inflight hot meals are not available for purchase onboard. You can pre-book your meals by logging into My Bookings at least 24 hours before your flight departure time. Only limited items such as chips, nuts, chocolate, and canned or bottled water will be available for sale onboard.

  • Aircraft cleaning

All of our aircraft go through regular disinfection procedures, which have been ramped up and enhanced in light of what we’re facing right now.

The cleaning, sanitising and disinfecting products that we use to clean our aircraft are all approved by the Public Health Authority as well as the aircraft manufacturer, which is Airbus in our case. All of our aircraft use HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Arresters) aircraft filtration system which filters 99.999% of dust particles and airborne contaminants such as viruses and bacteria.
