Pok Tunggal Beach (2), Gunung Kidul # Special Region of Yogyakarta – Indonesia

September 06, 2020

Today, my family goes picnic to the beach. We decided to outing and looking for not too crowded beach in Wonosari. It’s our first outing since the pandemic.

We depart from home around 10am, and buy take away Fried Chicken Suharti in Yogyakarta.

When arrive at Patuk, almost enter Wonosari City, we found this Geopark (near the place where you can see Yogyakarta from above). So we decided to picnic in there. We bring mat, catering box, and rice.

After that, we continue our trip. We arrive at Beach area around 1 o’clock, this time, we try to visit the beach one by one and see which one is the less crowded.

1st and 2nd beach is Kukup beach and Krakal beach. This two beach is the most famous in Gunung Kidul, so we skip it.

3rd beach is Sundak Beach, and it turns out there’s some event in there (I don’t know what’s event), so we decided to go another.

4th beach, is Pok Tunggal Beach, this beach is less crowded. Even when we arrive in there, the car park is full, but not many people in there. So we decided to play in this beach.

There’s a long beach that fill with the swallow seawater, so you can walk further to the middle. There’s many coral in there so you have to be careful, and I suggest, you wear your slippers because there’s so many small animals in there.

We play in there until about 4 o’clock. My nieces is very happy, because they are able to go to beach and play sands.

See you in the next trip.. Keep save and don’t forget to wear mask and social distancing..

Ladon Little Island Borobudur & Balkondes Candirejo Magelang # Central Java – Indonesia

August 12, 2020

Today we visit a new attraction place called Ladon Little Island. We park our car in Balkondes Candirejo. Balkondes Candirejo located near Boroburud Temple.

Balkondes, or Balai Ekonomi Desa, is a program from BUMN for local’s economic development. There’s many Balkondes spread in Borobudur, one of them is Balkondes Candirejo.

Website: http://balkondesborobudur.com/

You can stay here, it’s very peacefull, and the air is very fresh. You can enjoy local food too in here and going around by bicycle.

Walk about 300metres, you will arrive at Ladon Little Island and Pasar Klathakan. From what the staff said, the sand here is white, just like near the beach. So you could feel beach situation in here. And you can ride any boat to go around, take selfie, ride traditional boat from woods, or only sit around the river and buy some locals product in Pasar Klathakan (market).

Too bad, when I arrive here, it’s rainy very hard the night before. So the river is flooding and there’s no white sand.

Nepal Van Java, dusun Butuh, Kaliangkrik, Magelang Regency # Central Java – Indonesia

August 05, 2020

Butuh Village, is the highest village in Magelang Regency, Central Java. And recently, this village become very famous. People call the village Magelang’s Nepal.

Why Nepal? Actually, I haven’t been in Nepal, so I didn’t know how it looks like. The house building in this village, is built very unique in Mount Sumbing’s slope, from the bottom to uphill, with colorful color, and if we see it from the downhill, it looks like terracing. And with background Mount Sumbing, and blue sky, makes this place very beautiful.

The photospot located at Mount Sumbing basecamp in Kaliangkrik, there’s a photospot in there. And there is also a coffee shop, you can enjoy the beautiful scene with drink coffee. The weather is cold, because you are in 1620 altitude above sea level. Don’t forget to bring jacket when you come here in the morning.

If you want to climb mount Sumbing, this is one of the basecamp that you can take the path.

When the sun is high enough, the fog sometimes come down and hide the scenery.

Dusun Butuh located in Kaliangkrik, Magelang Regency. This place is famous with name Nepal Van Java.

I heard that actually this village is already known before, but nowadays people more openly in selfie and posting it on Social Media, so the influence is bigger than before. That’s why, this place is quiet famous now.

You can walk around the village too, the villagers make some building paint beautifully. But please respect the villagers, keep quiet and polite.

PJJP :: Khayangan Peak Sigendol & Curug Gunung Putri Purworejo # Central Java – Indonesia

July 26, 2020

Today’s PJJP is going to Purworwjo Regency, Bruno Area. From Magelang, we go to Purworejo direction and when arrive at Maron, turn left to Wonosobo direction. The road is on renovation, you have to becareful.

Then about 19km, turn left to Kutoarjo Direction. After passed Bruno Market, you will passed a bridge and face the trisection, turn right. The road is good but very narrow. It will be hard if there is a car from the opposite.

After about 2.5 hours, we arrive at Curug Gunung Putri Car Parking. Then we eat breakfast first. After fill our stomach, we start to hiking.

Our first destination is Khayangan Peak Sigendol, located about 2km uphill from the car parking. Because it’s a peak, so we have to walk uphill and it’s quiet high.

The view upthere is breathtaking.. Very beautiful..

After take some selfie and enjoy the view, we go back to car parking. On the way downhill is very steep, becareful and beware of your knee because we have to hold our body, and for some senior ir’s quiet difficult.

Our 2nd destination:

Curug Gunung Putri, Curug is another name of waterfall in Indonesia. The waterfall is falling in 2 direction, and the water is very fresh.

After play in the water for a while, we go back to car park and prepare to go home.

This time, we didn’t use the road we depart, instead after arrive at Purworejo-Wonosobo Street, we turn left, and when arrive at Sapuran, turn right and follow the road and you will arrive at Salaman, then go back to Magelang. Why we use another route? Because we didn’t want to passed the renovation road again, it’s very narrow and you have to make turn with the opposite to passed.

Finally, I’m able to make Vlog for this morning walk with at least 50% reporting. I always wants to make vlog about where I go but never made it, because sometimes I forgot, and I didn’t have confidence to speak. Maybe next time, I will write a script so I know what to say haha..

Have a nice Watch and Enjoy..

No More Sticker Visa for South Korea Visa

Starting July 01, 2020, South Korea Visa will stop using sticker visa. According KVAC (Korea Visa Application Center) in Jakarta, Indonesia, they will change sticker visa to visa grant notice which can be downloaded on Visa portal website and print it.

For more information, please visit KVAC website

To see the grant notice, use the same method when you check the application status.

The requirement document is the same as before. You can start to apply for single-entry visa 3 months before departure date. But my suggestions is, apply 1.5-2 months before is better. Usually, some people need longer time to approve (usual time is 5 business day).

After you got the notice, print and bring the notice together with your passport. When you arrive at South Korea, the immigration will check both of them.

Usually, people like to collect visa or stamp of other countries. And the more you have them in your passport, the more you like it. But it’s getting lesser and lesser, South Korea without sticker visa and no stamp when you travel in there.
