GanDiaoPan, Hakka traditional food

29th October 2020

Today, I’m making Gandiaopan, a Hakka traditional food from my grandmother. It is made from flour and mix with water and make a dough. Make sure the dough is soft enough and very smooth. Then, make a small dough and press it, just like wonton skin and boiled it.

Make the sauce using oil and white onion, which fried till it’s smelly and has gold color, and put some salty soy sauce. Then mix together with the boiled “wonton skin”.

It’s simple, but I really like this food.

Sometimes people who didn’t like salty, they add sweet soysauce or tomato sauce. And some people even made sweet soup for it.
