Our lunch at Padadita Beach Hotel is almost the same as other Indonesia Restaurant.
I have IDR 300.000 voucher for eating at Limaran because my brother’s wedding was held inside Grand Artos Aerowisata Ballroom. And the voucher valid until 16th April 2016. So, today, Me and my brothers and sisters in law, with my niece, go there to eat snack.
The price here is not too expensive for hotel. It’s standard. And we end up order a lot of things.
There’s a new restaurant in Yogyakarta. It’s Maystar, which very famous in Jakarta. I have been there once (Jakarta Branch), but that time, my relatives invite us for breakfast dimsum.
Now, we try the once that just opened in Yogyakarta, because there’s discount 30%.
My cousin, who has been there, choose the menu. And because we are 14 people, we need 2 table, and 2 pcs of every menu. And we choose medium size.
This is the famous soup in here.
The Main Menu:
We also buy some desert:
For the information, this restaurant is an expensive one. Maybe you can try order small size (I don’t know how much the portion of small size, but it’s cheaper).
One of the restaurant that we can always find at Mall in Indonesia is Istana Mie dan Es. It’s famous with it’s noodle and ice. But, there’s also another food in here.
Just like when I eat there with my friends, at one of their franchise in Armada Town Square, Magelang.
I order Rice with Butter Sauce.
This restaurant has different method of order compare with other common restaurant in Indonesia. In here, we have to pay first then eat and after finished, we just leave. We pay the food, not in cashier, but the waiter / waitress will collect our order and count it in front of us.
If you need change, they will collect your money first then give the change after put it on registry.
The food here has standard price for restaurant in mall. Not too expensive, but not too cheap either. And it’s convenient to eat here because they have a lot of menu.
Pepper Lunch is a “fast-steak” restaurant franchise popular in the Tokyo area. There are 226 restaurants in Japan, 23 in South Korea and Hong Kong, 33 in China, 6 in Taiwan, 7 in Malaysia, 9 in Australia, 42 in Indonesia, 16 in Thailand, 36 in Singapore, 2 in Macau, 6 in Vietnam, and 30 in Philippines, as well as 2 branches in Canada.
Pepper Lunch is a subsidiary of Pepper Food Service Co., Ltd. The restaurant’s international operations are managed by Suntory F&B International. All of Pepper Lunch’s branches serve Pepsi beverage products (as PepsiCo is a business partner of Suntory). The branch in Macau serve Coca Cola.
Pepper Lunch was created in 1994 by chef and inventor Kunio Ichinose, who wanted to serve quality fast food without hiring a chef. He devised a method using hot metal plates that are heated to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 Celsius) by an electromagnetic cooker. The raw meat with vegetables and/or rice are then placed on the plates, where they cook in front of the customer. The meat can be eaten rare or well done, depending on the customer’s preference. The meal is then mixed with a choice of either the special honey brown sauce (Amakuchi) or garlic soy sauce (Karakuchi).
The first time I try this Pepper Lunch Restaurant was in Jakarta. Then, they open in Yogyakarta. When me and my mom visit Yogya to shopping, we decided to eat in here.
First we have to order and pay in cashier. We ordered Beef Pepper Rice.
Then we waiting at our table.
When the food come, don’t touch the plate because it’s hot. Everything that put inside the plate except rice, is raw. So you have to cooked it on the plate by let it touch the plate until it reached your taste, well done, medium well, etc.
It taste like fried rice, but with blackpepper. You can add the seasoning by your self such as soy sauce, ketchup, tomato sauce, etc.
Becareful, because it’s still hot.
Warung Bajak Laut located at Muntilan City.
If you come from Magelang, then once you entered Muntilan City, you have to turn right in the first intersection then turn right again when you arrive at intersection (main road). Warung Bajak Laut is in the left side.
If you come from Yogyakarta, then after Muntilan Market, Warung Bajak Laut is on the left side.
Warung Bajak Laut, is a famous seafood restaurant. Their business is grown fast. The owner told us, at first they only sell fish with small warung which only has 3 table. But now, the have more than 30 tables with capacity each table is 6-8 people.
My favourite food in here is, Fried Crab with Butter.
The other favourite food is Fried Fish (Kerapu / Dorang) with Green Chili Sauce, Fried Shrimp with Butter, Fried Squid, Roasted Shrimp with Honey Sauce, and many many more.
Try to come earlier from dinner time. Or you will have to wait because the restaurant is always crowded. Even the staff is very organize, but sometimes people make mistake.
The price is $, not too expensive. Only if you order shrimp, it’s for 1 person portion. The shrimp only consist of 4pcs. So, make sure to order more than 1 portion if you come with a big group.
My friends treat us for dinner to celebrate his birthday at Pringgondani Restaurant, which located inside Hotel Puri Asri Magelang.
The place has been renovated, and it’s more cozy.
The food is not bad, five star hotel food. This place is suitable for gathering.

Today, I went to Yogya with my friends. And we decided to eat lunch at Indische Koffie.
Located : Jl Jend. A. Yani No. 6 Benteng Vredeburg Ngupasan Gondomanan Yogyakarta Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia (Phone: +62274580004), the cafe was inside Benteng Vredeburg, near Malioboro Street. It closed on Monday.
It’s been a long time I want to come here. Finally, there’s a chance.
The cafe itself was ordinary, only the building looks like ancient house / fortress. For those who love history, would like to come here and enjoy the building.
The price is standard cafe. Not too expensive.
