Today we woke up late. I woke up at 09:00 and then being lazy and enjoy our room. Don’t forget to packing, because today we are going back home.
At 11:00, we go down to eat lunch. Fortunately, we go down early because the hotel’s restaurants need about 45 minutes to cook our food.
Then at 12:00 our guide come and we go to the airport. Before arrive at airport, he took us to shopping place.
The airport is bigger than the one in Tambolaka.
We are fly using Nam Air from Waingapu to Yogyakarta and transit in Bali Denpasar for about 2 hours.
So our trip in Sumba is finished, but I still wants to go back when I have time. Sumba teach me how to appreciate our life and our surrounding more. We have to keep grateful for what happens in our life.
We gonna travelling to Sumba.. Yay… Finally.. This island is really interesting, and I really want to go there.
Sumba is an island in East Nusa Tenggara (wikipedia). It is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands and has an area of 11,059.6 square kilometres (4,270.1 square miles), and the population was estimated to be 755,849 in 2015. To the northwest of Sumba is Sumbawa, to the northeast, across the Sumba Strait (Selat Sumba), is Flores, to the east, across the Savu Sea, is Timor, and to the south, across part of the Indian Ocean, is Australia.
To go to Sumba from my city, we need to take flight from Yogyakarta to Bali first then transit in Bali. Actually, there’s one day flight to Sumba from Yogyakarta transit in Bali, but from my experience because of delay, my guests missed their flight from Bali to Sumba. So I decided, we stay in Bali for 1 night.
Transit in Bali, you can rent car or motorcycle. This time, I rent a hiace because we are 11 people.
Our destination in Bali is east Bali, Tirta Gangga Water Palace and Ujung Water Palace.
We fly with Airasia from Yogyakarta at 08:15.
Arrive at Bali at 10:45. The driver has already waiting for us. After eating lunch, we go to our first destination. It took about 2.5 hours to go there from near I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Denpasar.
Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in eastern Bali, Indonesia, about 5 kilometres from Karangasem, near Abang. Named after the sacred river Ganges in Hinduism, it is noted for the Karangasem royal water palace, bathing pools and its Patirthan temple. The one hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late King of Karangasem but was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby Mount Agung in 1963.
This place is very beautiful. When we go there, there’s a ceremony.
From Tirta Gangga Water Palace, we go to Ujung Water Palace. It took about 30 minutes to go there.
is a former palace in Karangasem Regency, Bali. Now, this palace also known as Ujung Park or Sukasada Park. It is located approximately 5 kilometres from Amlapura. In the Dutch East Indies era, this place known by the name Waterpaleis. The palace three large pools. In the middle of the pool, there is the main building named Gili Bale, connected to the edge of the pool by bridge.
The interesting place in this Ujung Water Palace is the building in the uphill. We have to climb the stairs.
At night, we go shopping at Krisna Market. Then go to hotel for rest.
We stay at Harris Hotel Airport Tuban Bali. I choose this hotel because they have free shuttle to go to Airport and it tooks only 5 minutes to go to Airport.
Hotel Address: Jl. Dewi Sartika, Tuban, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361
Today is my last day at Jember. Wake up in the morning, then waiting to go to the airport.
I have a chance to taste cheese cake from Mary’s Pattiserie. Maybe, I’m not a fans of cheese, I can’t it whole.
Then at 08:30, my aunty accompany me to go to Jember Airport. It is located in the outer of city. And, there’s nothing around there. You can see a lot of children, gather around the airport to see plane landing and take off.
Only there’s 1 flight in here. It’s Garuda from and to Surabaya.
It’s convenient, so if you want to go to Jember, you can ride plane, just remember the time maybe not when you expect.
From Jember to Surabaya, flight time is 10:20, arrive at Surabaya at 11:15. If you want to fly from Surabaya to Jember, flight time is 08:55, arrive at Jember at 09:50.
Arrive at Surabaya, Juanda International Airport 2nd Terminal, I have to go to 1st Terminal. Fortunately, the airport provide free shuttle bus. And fortunately again, when I arrive at the bus, there’s a shuttle bus that will depart soon. So, I just go in the bus and waiting. It took about 15-20 minutes to go to 1st Terminal.
My next flight is Sriwijaya, flight time 15:20. After found the check-in counter, I decided to eat lunch first. A & W Restaurant become my choice because it’s convenient.
Then after lunch, I go to check-in counter, and waiting for depart.
at 14:50 we boarding, then go back to Jogja. See you in the next trip…
Today is it. My journey to South Korea for 13th days. Ticket: Check, Hotel Voucher: Check, so time to start our journey.
At 13:15, we depart from Magelang. My friend’s parents take us to Adisucipto International Airport Yogyakarta. We eat lunch at Blabak Ayam Goreng Special.
At 14:45 we arrive at Adisucipto International Airport. Luckily, the baggage drop counter didn’t have any people, so we can directly put drop our luggage and document checked.
Then we decided to killing-time at Cafe. The restaurant and cafe’s price at Airport is really expensive.
At 16:00 we enter imigration and wait for boarding at Waiting Room. At 16:55 boarding and at 17:20 we depart.
The flight from Yogyakarta to Kuala Lumpur, take 2 hours and 35 minutes. But because the difference time between Yogyakarta and Kuala Lumpur which Kuala Lumpur 1 hours later than Yogyakarta, so we arrive at Kuala Lumpur at 20:40. We got sunset in the plane.
Airasia terminal at Kuala Lumpur move from LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) to KLIA2, which more large and comfortable. You can spend time by shopping. So many shop in there.
From arrival gate to imigration, it took almost 20-30 minutes walking. It’s so big airport. Even the baggage, need some time to arrive at the baggage claimed. We almost spend 1.5 hours to get out from the arrival. By the time we come out, it’s already 21:45 local time. I bought ramen at Ramen Ten restaurant for supper at Hotel. Then we wait for the hotel airport pick-up at 22:00 in frong of Old Town White Coffe (just right outside of the arrival gate).
Arrive at Hongkong at 09:20, we surely missed the flight. A lot of people missed their flight, for example those who has continue flight to Seoul. But they are a big group, almost 30 people. So, the plane is waiting for them. We are only 8 people T___T ~cry
Once entering the waiting hall, the staff from Cathay has already call us “Changsa.. Changsa..” and then they take us to the nearest transit hall and give us 2 option.
Stay at Hongkong, then go to Changsa with next day flight (they already hold the ticket).
Continue the journey, but they will re-route our route. We will first go to Hangzhou with Dragon Air at 12:25-14:40, then continue to Changsa with local flight at 15:40-17:05.
We choose the 2nd option, because surely we can’t do anything in Hongkong (only transit in hotel), so it’s better if we today arrive at Changsa.
They give us lunch voucher at Hongkong International Airport. Then after eating lunch, we go to waiting hall.
And you know what, the flight got delayed again ~cry. We depart from Hongkong 13:00 and arrive at Hangzhou at 15:30, so we missed the flight to Changsa again. Haha… ~lol, I really don’t know am I should cry or laugh
Arrive at Hangzhou, the staff from Cathay Pasific has already waiting for us. They assist us to domestic terminal, then give us the flight ticket to Changsa at 23:30 and give us afternoon tea voucher for 90 RMB.
We eat dinner at Kungfu Restaurant then waiting for check-in counter to open at 20:30.
Then at 23:30 we depart to Changsa, and arrive at 01:15. We got a business class at Eastern China Airlines.
Our local guide has already waiting for us at Changsa. And he take us to Xiang Rong Hotel to rest.
It’s really a long journey to start a trip. haha.. But, I will always remember this memory, 33 hours Airport to Airport trip. This is precious, especially when you stranded at airport with you brothers and cousins Lol~~ (and it won’t happen twice). Life is unpredictable.
I applaud and grateful for Cathay Pasific for their best service to help us for the transit even the delayed because of storm (and not their fault).
