Kuala Lumpur & Bandar Sunway D4 # Malaysia

Today is our last day at Kuala Lumpur. We will move to Bandar Sunway and stay in there for 2 nights.

There’s a lot of way to go to Sunway from Bukit Bintang. We can ride monorail to KL Sentral and change to Subang Jaya station then ride bus or taxi from there. But we decided to “grabcar” from MyTeksi applicatios. It’s cheaper than regular rate. But if you don’t have Malaysia number, it would be a little dificult.

The application also give you a promo coupon, so it’s really useful. Arrive at Sunway, we stay at Rhuemz Hotel Taylors, which manage by Taylor’s University Hospitality program. The hotel is located right beside the university. And it’s quiet far from Sunway Centre.

When we arrive there, the rooms that we booked are not ready. We requested for connecting room, and we have to wait until 14:30.

We decided to eat first at Subway and also walk around the university. There’s 9th floor for classes with a lot of department. It’s cool, make me want to study again. There’s a lake in front of the university.

At 14:30, we check-in and put our luggage inside our room. The view from our rooms is amazing.

Then we go to bus station beside Taylor’s unversity and ride the local bus. It cost MYR 1.5/pax. First we go to my cousin’s apartment to put some of his stuff. It took almost 30 minutes by bus to go there. The apartment is called Suryamas Apartment. And it’s comfortable. There’s 3 block: block A, block B and block C. In the basement is car park. On level 2nd, there’s a gym, swimming pool, cafetaria, spa, and also reading room.

In front of the apartment, there’s a lot of food stand.

After walk around, then we go to Sunway Pyramid Mall by walking to there. It took 20 minutes.

The mall is quiet big, and looks nice. Even I have already see the directions, but it’s still quiet confusing. There’s Sunway Pyramid mobile applications if you want to go here, so you don’t need to look for any maps everytime you look for some store.

This is where Sunway Lagoon, an amusement park located, right besides the mall. So it’s really convenient if you stay around here.

My aunty buy Popiah, it’s like Lompiah in Indonesia. I buy crepes. We explore the mall until 20:30 then buy KFC take away. Then we ride “Grabcar” again to go back to hotel because the bus has stopped operated at 18:00.

After eating dinner, it’s time for rest.. Good night..

Kuala Lumpur & Bandar Sunway D2 # Malaysia

Good Morning..

We are so excited for today so we woke up early today. At 9 o’clock, we eat breakfast at Instant Restaurant which located beside the hotel. The boss is Indonesian people, and she is very friendly.I saw the booth, and interesting with it’s roasted pork. So I ordered Roasted Pork Noodle 烧肉面 which cost RM$7.

It’s yummy, the meat is so crunchy and tasty. My aunty ordered Porridge and 油条. My cousins ordered Roasted Pork Noodle, same with me and Balacan Fried Rice.

This restaurant will become our breakfast restaurant. Actually, there’s 2 restaurant with same concept, but maybe different owner, different luck. In the morning, Instant Restaurant is more crowded than the others. But in the evening, the others is more crowded than this one.

After eat breakfast, we go to our first destination,Central Market. The nearest station with hotel is Imbi Station or Bukit Bintang Station. Imbi Station located in the next Berjaya Times Square, and Bukit Bintang Station locted behind Sungei Wang Plaza.

We ride Monorail with KL Sentral direction to Hang Tuah station then change to KTM with Sentul Timur direction to Masjid Jamek station then change again to Kelana Jaya Line with kelana Jaya direction to Pasar Seni Station.

Exit subway station, go to Central Market directions. We have to walk around 5 minutes to go there. After cross the road, you can see the blue old building, that’s Central Market.

Central Market sell some art and culture craft. There’s a lot of clothes like batik, and some craft. The price is standard. In the back of the store, there’s painting store.

We decided to rest for a while, buy some drink. The weather is too hot.

From Central Market, we go to Chinatown Petaling Street. We just walk pass through the road.

Then we ride Kelana Jaya Line again, and back to Masjid Jamek. Our next destination is Masjid Jamek and Dataran Merdeka. Arrive at Masjid Jamek, we take the wrong exit. So we have to cross the road. And unfortunately, the Masjid Jamek is close at noon. So we decided to directly go to Dataran Merdeka.

From Masjid Jamek, we walk near the construction, and will find a square.

From the square, we can see Pasar Seni. What?? No way… it’s so close. It’s only located behind Central Market. But we don’t know. If we know, we didn’t need to ride the train.
In the intersection of the square and pasar seni, just turn right. Then you will see Textile Museum. Walk straight, pass the river and you will arrive at Dataran Merdeka.

We eat lunch first at Dataran Underground Mall. The mall is new, and nothing much to see. Only there’s 2 restaurant in there with limited seat.
After eating, we go out and walk around

We took photos with “I ❤ KL” statue and enjoy the view of building around the Dataran Merdeka.

After finished, we back to subway Masjid Jamek.

We go back to Imbi Station to go to Berjaya Times Square. I thought that it’s expensive mall. But it’s not. Most of the store is local product.

Because the hot weather, we decided to try the snow flake. It’s delicious and refreshing.

buy 1 mango snowflake, then you will got this for free

There’s a theme park inside the mall, located at the 5th floor. While eating ice cream, we saw the rollercoaster is playing. And we want to try it. I heard that it’s the 2nd longest rollercoaster for indoor theme park.

But something happen, while we eat ice, on the 2nd ride that we saw, the rollercoaster stopped in the middle of the ride. I thought that it’s a usual stop, but turned out there’s something with it. So we decided didn’t ride it. Haha..

We bought mineral water and some snack at Cool Storage.

In front of the cold storage, there’s a piano stairs that can produce the sound while you step on it. It’s beautiful and cool.

From Berjaya Times Square, we go to Pavilion Mall. We pass Sungei Wang Plaza, Lot10, Fahrenheit, all of them are famous shopping place at Bukit Bintang.  We eat dinner at Pavilion Food Republic.

the 2nd most not delicious tteokbeoki that I ate

Then we go back to hotel for rest.

델리만쥬 Delimanjoo

On the way to Haeundae Station, we saw 델리만쥬 Delimanjoo Snack. When you googling Busan City at internet, you will found this snack. It’s very famous. So we try it.

Two kind of Delimanjoo.

Busan D1 (BGSDNMK) – SK Trip 2014 # South Korea

We took airport shuttle to KLIA2 at 06:00. A lot of people go there too. The hotel provided 2 MVP car.

Once arrive at KLIA2, we drop our baggage at U-V Counter. Only one destination in this counter, Busan (South Korea), and because this is extra large plane, which there’s 3-3-3 seat, so a lot of people queue to check-in/drop baggage.

After drop our baggage, we entering the imigration and have a chance to walk around boarding gate. Then we wait for boarding at waiting room.

At 08:00, we boarding and depart at 08:30.

The air conditionair inside the plane is really cold. But fortunately, I have prepared the thick jacket because it’s autumn in South Korea, and it will a little bit chill.

The journey take approximately 6 hours 15 minutes and South Korea time is 1 hour later than Kuala Lumpur. So we arrive at Gimhae International Airport Busan at 15:45. The airport not too big.

Our friend pick us at Airport. Once we arrive at Busan, we directly go to the hotel for check-in because we bought a very heavy luggage. There’s some way to go to the hotel, by using Airport Limousine Bus or Subway. I choose subway because it’s cheaper (But I regret it later, because it’s not convenient if you bring a heavy luggage. And I suggest you using airport limousine bus also known as express bus which a little more expensive but convenient).

From Gimhae International Airport, go outside to the metro station, Gimhae International Airport (line Gimhae Light Rail Transit/Purple), then buy ticket to Sasang Station (line 2/green). Because it’s different line (airport line and metro line), so we have to stop at Sasang Station first. From Sasang Station, we go to Nampo Station (line 1/orange) by transit at Seomyeon Station (transfer station between line 1/orange & line2/green).

Don’t forget to buy T-Money card at convenient store (7-11/c&u/GS25). It cost W2500 for the card, and just top up whatever you want (from W1000 to W100.000).

Our first destination after drop our luggage is Jagalchi Market 자갈치시장. Jagalchi Culture Tourism Festival coincidentally being held in there, so there’s so many people.

Jagalchi Market is Korea’s largest seafood market. This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country.

The gate to Jagalchi Market

You can see a lot of people sell seafood in there. You can buy raw seafood then ask ahjuma to cook it.

inside Jagalchi Market 1st Floor

2nd floor of Jagalchi Market is restaurant. Many people eat in there. But I heard that it’s quiet expensive. I didn’t have a chance to eat here.

We also go to the back side of Jagalchi Market, which we can see the sea and night view of Busan

View from Jagalchi Market back side
Lotte Mall at Gwangbok, Nampo

Some of the people in there, could speak Chinese. And it’s better than English. My friend has a chance to ask for fish meat, and it’s quiet expensive.

Then We go back to the shopping street at Nampo. On the way there, we passed BIFF Square. Before back to hotel to resting, we decided to come by Yongdusan Park 용두산 공원. It’s beautiful even at night. From Nampo-Dong District, you can ride elevator (it’s really long and high) to reach this place.

There’s Busan Tower, the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-shin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock, the Museum of Musical Instruments of the World, and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.

Busan Tower 부산타워 is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69m above sea level at a height of 120m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju.

The view from Yongdusan Park is beautiful. The Busan Light is really glamorous.

South Korea is famous as love country. And it’s famous with the love locks.

It’s 22:00 already, and we didn’t get enough sleep yesterday. So we decided to back to hotel for rest. Good Night, see you tomorrow..

Bangkok Mass Transit # Thailand

Don’t worry if you go by yourself in Bangkok. The public transportation, especially the subway is so convenient.

There are two kind of subway,

MRTA Subway, which operated underground and BTS sky train which operated upperground. The ticket price is reasonable, and it’s so easy to buy it.

Trip to Wang Fu Jing Shopping Street # Beijing – China

The class hasn’t started yet, so we have time to roaming around Beijing. This time, we went to Wang Fu Jin Street 王府井 wangfujing.

Just like Singapore’s Orchard Road, or Japan’s Ginza, there’s so many shop in Wang Fu Jing. And the most fun is, we can walk in the middle of the street, without afraid to be hit by car because it’s car free street XD.

From UIBE, just ride bus (See the bus number in here: http://www.bjbus.com/, you have to at least can read Chinese to use this website. I use the website to see what bus number to go to some place, and it’s useful.), to MRT Yong He Gong then from MRT Yong He Gong, you rode subway to MRT Wang Fu Jing and you arrived at Wang Fu Jing. There’s the big department store, and also book store beside the department store. From subway, you will came out from the department store. Then just walking around.

Thanks to my friend 爷爷 *yeye* who took this photo. 🙂

PS: When I’m In Beijing, the subway line was not as many as nowadays. There’s no line purple (line 5) yet. But I see that there’s more line, which make it easier to using subway.
