Enjoy Sumba D4 # NTT – Indonesia – Cheerful Traveller's Diary

This is our last day to go touring in Sumba, tomorrow we will go back home.

Our first destination is Puru Kambera Savanna near Puru Kambera Beach. On the way there, we see this tree.

This tree is one of Sakura flower kind which called Konji. And it’s a wild tree, you can found it anywhere in the village. And we are lucky to see one.

Actually, this savanna should be has so many grass but because it’s dry season in Indonesia, so there’s not much of grass in there. The weather is very hot, don’t forget to drink much water.

We only take photo for a while in here because it’s too hot. Then we continue our journey to the next destination. The road to Tanggedu Waterfal Car Park is a little bad and the driver said, it’s fortunately a dry season so the car can smoothly go to the car park. If it’s rainy season, then the driver said it will be hard to use car to go there, we have to use motorcycle.

The Tanggedu Waterfall Car park located inside a housing complex. There’s some bathroom in there so we can change and take a bath after play in the waterfall.

We have to trekking around 1 hours to go to the waterfall, and it’s very very hot. And from the housing complex, we have to passed a big gap which full of limestone sand and it’s very slippery. Some of elders ask the local help to guide them.

Don’t forget to bring face mask and scarf or hat to cover your head from the heat.

There’s a rest area near the entrance of waterfall. You can buy some coconut if you want.

This is the beautiful waterfall that I have ever seen. The water is blue tosca and very clear. And the source is very calm, which is like your own pond. Becareful when you stand at the stone because it’s slippery. You can enjoy snack or coconut in some area.
